Naeomi Chin is a Program Coordinator for APIFM’s Food Roots Nourish and Water is Life team. She is a recent graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health. Passionate about the intersection of epidemiology and health education, Naeomi aspires to apply research-based knowledge and health education skills to promote health equity.

She currently supports CalFresh education and outreach efforts in APIFM’s Enroll LA team, helping community members access food assistance and navigate systemic challenges in the application process. Naeomi also collaborates with her team to expand access to vital resources that promote food security and improved quality of life.

Additionally, Naeomi is also involved in a school greening project with the Water is Life team, exploring the process of increasing shade, improving air quality, and mitigating extreme heat conditions to create a more sustainable, supportive space for student learning and development.

During her spare time, Naeomi enjoys going on hikes, leisure walks, exploring photography, cafe hopping, and playing video games.
