APIFM and the FRH team would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire Community Dynamix (CDX) team for their invaluable expertise and guidance over the past 10 months in developing our new and improved Food Roots Harvest Airtable database. This system is already proving to be instrumental in streamlining our ordering intake process, reducing the amount of manual data entry, and automating the invoice generation and confirmation process.
We especially want to thank Austin Thompson (CEO of CDX) & Peter Adesiyan (IT support for CDX) for taking the time to thoroughly understand our operations and organization. Their understanding of the vital role the local LA food ecosystem plays in our work allowed them to create a truly customized solution tailored precisely to our needs. The result is a user-friendly system that our team can deploy in our daily work, making a significant positive impact.
We’d also like to give special shout outs to APIFM Advisory Board (AB) Member Jessica Jinn for referring us to Austin, Jessica Townsend who provided pro-bono consulting to build a foundational framework for the transition from spreadsheets to Airtable, APIFM AB Member Michael Nigm who provided pro-bono consulting to critically assess our FRH operations and help us streamline operating procedures to find new efficiencies, and the Butterfly Equity Foundation and the LA Food Equity Fund for making all of this work possible.

This backend administrative work is not always glamorous, but it is the essential building blocks of what makes an organization successful. This new Airtable system will help us improve the FRH Community Food Hub program so that we can continue to provide fresh, local, and culturally relevant produce to immigrants, seniors, and low-income community members across LA County.
