Juan Hoos (he/him) continues as Distribution Coordinator II under APIFM’s Food Roots Harvest team. With over 2 years of experience on the team, he helps maintain collaborative efforts with food rescue organizations such as Food Forward and Hollywood Food Coalition.

Juan initially joined under the CalFresh Healthy Living grant in 2024. Fast forward to 2026, Juan continues supporting communities under the recently awarded Food Access Investing in Resilience (FAIR) Program.

These partnerships help APIFM’s Food Roots Harvest team fight food insecurity by hosting distribution events and delivering rescued/gleaned produce to low-income community members through partnerships with community organizations, faith-based organizations, parks, schools, and clinics.

Outside of work, Juan enjoys spending time with his family and dog Bae, and cheering on the L.A. Dodgers! Juan’s extensive work experience has developed his discipline, integrity, social skills, and work ethic, all while maintaining an empathetic approach to others. Born and raised in L.A., specifically in the San Gabriel Valley, Juan’s genuine passion and purpose is to help others in the communities he considers home.
